Biography

Mobish Abraham Shaji is an Assistant Research Professor of Plasma Engineering at the C. & J. Nyheim Plasma Institute at Drexel University. His research focuses on atmospheric-pressure non-thermal plasma technologies for environmental, chemical, and energy applications, integrating experimental plasma engineering with chemical and fluid process modeling and data-driven optimization.

Research Interests

  • Non-thermal plasma systems, including gliding arc, dielectric barrier, and nanosecond-pulsed discharges
  • Plasma-assisted nitrogen fixation, nutrient recovery, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance destruction
  • Methane conversion, soot reduction, and plasma-assisted heavy hydrocarbon upgrading
  • Plasma-activated water for environmental and agricultural applications
  • Data-driven process optimization and multiphysics modeling using machine learning, DWSIM, ANSYS Fluent, and PHREEQC
